Diane Hause STUDIO

2TEN HAUSTUDIO is a working art studio and also an alternative exhibition space.  The studio was designed by architect Scott Ogden of B+O Design Studio, Wilmington, NC.  B+O create spaces that are site-specific, unique, thoughtful and ecologically sound.

The studio is located on 240 acres in Ivanhoe, NC, on the Black River.  Ivanhoe is  approximately 35 miles inland from downtown Wilmington and is made up of country homes, miles of farmland with crops of corn, cotton, soy beans, vegetables, blueberries, grapes and fields of grazing cows, goats, sheep and horses. 

Ivanhoe sometimes feel like a step back in time. Most people find that driving to Ivanhoe is an opportunity to slowly unwind from the stress of highways, traffic and congestion.  Ivanhoe is the kind of place that a traffic jam is usually the result of 2 cars being held up behind a tractor. 

And while Gertrude Stein might claim there is no "There, there" that is exactly the point and reason for visualizing, seeking and selecting this particular location for artist Diane Hause.
